Elocution Competition

R. H. Patel English Medium B.Ed. College conducted the Virtual Elocution Competition through ZOOM application for Semester-1 students (freshers) 2020-22 ELOCUTION COMPETITION on 31 July, 2020 as part of CCA Activity. This is done in an attempt to promote speaking skills, in terms of pronunciation, delivery, and voice modulation, and to develop language skills in its spoken form. Many students gave in their names as participants, which resulted in a keenly contested round. The topics of Elocution selected were varied and very enjoyable.

The topics for Elocution were:

1. Digital learning is the need of the hour (ડિજિટલ લર્નિંગ એ સમયની આવશ્યકતા છે)
2. Education is a lifelong process (શિક્ષણ એ આજીવન ચાલતી પ્રક્રિયા છે)
3. Time and tide wait for none (સમય અને અવસર કોઈની રાહ જોતા નથી)

All the participants performed exceptionally well, winning accolades for their performance. The competition gave a lot of encouragement and confidence to the performers and to all the students present on the virtual classroom.

The judges (Dr. Asha Rani Anto & Dr. Smita Gadhvi) were invited on the Virtual platform of ZOOM app to speak a few words of advice for improvement and of encouragement. The young and gifted orators had won the hearts of the judges, who were overwhelmed by their oratory skills and preparation. This was followed by the announcing of the winners, amidst thunderous applauding. The confidence, expression and talent of the Semester-1 students (2020-22) made the event truly memorable.
